Conveniently,
Lake Tahoe is located between the borders of California and
Nevada in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, which means that
there is plenty of choice either side of the water. There
are 17 alpine ski areas to choose from. If you are looking
for Vegas nightlife and excellent views, Heavenly is the place
to be. However, Squaw Valley, which is on the California side,
is smaller, unassuming and more relaxing. If you want a bit
of both, why not book a two-centre stay!

Although
the life is a little more laid back compared to Nevada,
there is still plenty going on. The Red Dog Bar &
Grill is recommended. If you tire of the slopes but are
keen for some action, extreme skiing and boarding movies
are filmed here, due to the superb advanced terrain. |
